Where we operate.

We go where we have operating history: sectors and ownership structures where we have run the numbers from the inside.

Technology & Telecom

Our home ground. Two decades of senior finance leadership inside Cisco, Siemens and Nokia means we speak operator, vendor, and platform, and we know where the money actually moves in each.

  • Capital programs for infrastructure and network investment cycles
  • M&A, carve-outs and partnership structures across the value chain
  • Investor narrative through platform and business-model transitions
  • Unit economics for AI-era products, tokens and consumption pricing

Founder-Led & Scale-Up Businesses

Ambitious companies between first traction and institutional scale, where the finance function has to grow up faster than the headcount plan allows, and every capital decision is consequential.

  • First institutional-grade financial model and operating cadence
  • Raise readiness: equity story, data room, investor conversations
  • Fractional CFO leadership through the scale-up phase
  • Board discipline installed early, before it is demanded
Related capability: Fractional CFO

PE & VC-Backed Businesses

Sponsors and their portfolio companies, on either side of the table. We know what an investment committee needs to see, and what a management team needs to survive the reporting calendar that follows.

  • Buy-side and vendor financial due diligence support
  • Post-acquisition finance plans for the first hundred days
  • Value-creation tracking the board actually reads
  • Exit readiness: numbers, narrative and data room discipline

Family Offices & Private Capital

Principals and family offices deploying private capital across operating businesses and direct investments, where discretion matters as much as rigor, and governance has a family name on it.

  • Direct-investment underwriting and portfolio review
  • Wealth and holding structures, in step with specialist advisors
  • Governance between the family and its operating businesses
  • A standing senior counsel relationship, kept strictly private
Related capability: Board advisory

Real Assets & Development

Property and real-asset investment approached as practitioners: capital we have deployed and structures we have underwritten, not theory recited from a textbook.

  • Acquisition structuring and financing strategy
  • Investment underwriting with explicit downside cases
  • Development economics: phasing, funding, and exit routes
  • Portfolio analysis across asset classes and geographies
Related capability: Real asset advisory

Fit, answered honestly.

Sector, geography, and company size: whether Third Horizon is the right instrument for you.

Which industries does Third Horizon serve?

Technology, telecom, SaaS, and platform businesses are the primary sectors, backed by 22 years of operating history inside Siemens, Nokia, and Cisco. The firm also works across financial services, healthcare, FMCG, and the public sector, where the core financial and commercial architecture work travels well.

Does Third Horizon only work with companies in the UAE?

No. The firm is based in Dubai, and the Middle East and Africa are our primary markets. Selected engagements run in the UK and Europe, usually where a transaction or a regional expansion demands senior finance judgment on the ground.

What size of company is the right fit?

Post-revenue businesses, typically from around USD 5M to USD 1B in annual revenue, plus mega-cap regional mandates that need senior on-the-ground judgment.

Do you work for the investor or the company?

Both, depending on the mandate. Funds commission diligence support and exit preparation; portfolio companies engage the firm for finance leadership and readiness work. Whoever signs the engagement letter, the standard is the same: numbers that stand up to scrutiny.

Can Third Horizon support a GCC market entry?

Yes. Entity and capital architecture, FX exposure framing, a regional P&L that head office will believe, and the governance to run it from a distance.
